High Ground Organics and Two
Small Farms: Farm Events 2009
The best part about being a family farm is inviting your family to our farm! Farm events are a great time for you to ask us questions and give us feedback about our program. We usually have Strawberry U-Picks and a Pumpkin Patch, plus habitat restoration work parties with Laura Kummerer. Mariquita Farm also offers Tomato/Basil U-Picks at their farm, as well as other fun events. Unless otherwise noted, events are free and open to everybody. (Directions to both farms are below, however please only visit us during scheduled events as we are both busy working farms.)
Strawberry U-Pick, Saturday
June 13th, 10am to 4 pm. ,
Berries cost $1.50/lb. Please RSVP to csa@highgroundorganics.com --just tell us how
many flats you expect to pick; it'll give us a rough idea of how much of the field
we need to open up. You can also buy prepicked flats for $20.
IMPORTANT NOTE: For those of you who came to our u-picks last year, the strawberries
are at our home farm this year, NOT at the Redman House Farmstand. Follow the directions
below to "Events at High Ground Organics."
