This is a super simple slaw dressing that works with the Broccoli Slaw recipe, or any other slaw type salad with assertive flavors like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, or beets. This is the closest thing to the dressings on slaws in grocery store deli’s I can come up with.

INGREDIENTS:

1 clove garlic, peeled

3 tablespoons white balsamic or white wine vinegar

Salt and white pepper (finely ground) to taste

Scant ½ cup superfine sugar or agave

1 cup mayonnaise

METHOD:

Rub a non-reactive mixing bowl lightly with the garlic clove to flavor the bowl with garlic. Use the garlic clove for something else when done. Add the vinegar, salt and pepper, and sweetener. Whisk together to mix in.

Add the mayonnaise and whisk to combine all the ingredients until smooth.

Store in airtight container in refrigerator until ready to use.

Yield: Around 1 cup
