3carrotsWe hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving!

Welcome to the winter season of every other week deliveries. During the last harvest the crew found these three carrots intertwined, which we are taking as a good omen for the season ahead (displayed here by our packing shed manager Aquileo at our harvest party.)

The crops look good going into winter, with nice new plantings coming on, including lacinato, Scotch and Red Russian kale, collards, celery, chard, cabbages, broccoli, lettuce, carrots, fennel, beets, parsley, escarole, radicchio, and radishes. We’ll continue to have apples and different varieties of winter squashes, and later in the winter should bring baby turnips, mei quin choi, and other delights. Not yet quite willing to let go of summer, we even still have some tomatoes ripening in the hoophouse, and padron peppers, either of which you may see this week as the mystery item.

Contact Sarah if you have any questions about the winter deliveries.

Enjoy the rain!
